1What Scriben is

Scriben records your meetings — from the Scriben pen, from your iPhone, or from a meeting you join — and turns each one into a note with a summary, a transcript and action items. It remembers the people and projects across those meetings, and it can file a note into the tools you already use.

You can also connect Scriben to an assistant, so you can ask about a meeting from somewhere other than the app. Those connections are described below.

2Getting help

Email emma@scriben.ai for anything at all — a recording that did not appear, a connection that will not complete, a question about billing, or a bug. Tell us roughly when it happened and we can find it in the logs.

If a recording seems missing, check the Notes tab first: a long recording transfers from the pen over Bluetooth before it uploads, and the app shows its progress while that happens.

3Your data, and deleting it

Your recordings, transcripts, notes and memories stay in your account until you delete them or delete your account. You can delete any note from the app. To delete your account and everything in it, email emma@scriben.ai from the address you signed up with and we will remove it.

You can disconnect any integration at any time from Integrations in the Scriben app; access ends immediately for every request that follows. What we collect, who we share it with and how long we keep it are set out in full in the Privacy Policy.

4Connecting an assistant

Scriben exposes its notes to an assistant through a connection you approve yourself, and every tool it offers is read-only: listing your notes, reading a summary, searching a transcript, listing action items, and recalling what Scriben has learned about a person. Nothing in that connection can send mail, change a calendar or alter a note.

Remove a connection from Integrations in the Scriben app to end its access immediately.

5Zoom AI Companion

The Scriben app for Zoom connects one way: Zoom AI Companion reads the meeting memory you have already built in Scriben, so you can ask it about a meeting you recorded. Scriben does not read your Zoom account, does not access your Zoom meetings, recordings or transcripts, and never posts into a meeting or chat.

What Zoom AI Companion can read, on your behalf and only after you approve it: note summaries and action items, the people and projects attached to a meeting, and your saved memories — including ones you have marked private. Private memories are returned with that label attached rather than withheld, so approve the connection only if you are content for Zoom AI Companion to see them. It is read-only — there is no tool that writes.

6Connecting Zoom

Add Scriben from the Zoom App Marketplace, then enable it in Zoom AI Companion. Zoom will send you to a Scriben approval page where you sign in and confirm the connection. That approval is what grants access; installing the app on its own grants nothing.

A paid Zoom plan is required. On Zoom Basic, AI Companion cannot query connected apps — the connection will complete and show as authorised, but AI Companion will keep answering from Zoom’s own sources instead of your Scriben notes.

7Disconnecting Zoom

Two ways, either is enough:

Uninstall Scriben from your Zoom account — Zoom discards the credential it holds and access ends immediately. Or open Integrations in the Scriben web app, find the connection under Scriben MCP, and remove it. Revocation there is immediate and applies to every request that follows.

8Zoom and your data

Scriben stores no Zoom data, because it never receives any. We hold no Zoom access token for the AI Companion integration and make no calls to Zoom's API. When you uninstall, Zoom notifies us and there is nothing on our side to delete. What Scriben stores is your own notes and recordings, covered by the Privacy Policy.

9If a Zoom connection fails

If a connection fails, if Zoom AI Companion cannot see a meeting you expect, or if you want your account deleted, email emma@scriben.ai. Include the approximate time it happened and we will find it in the logs.
